Emily joined CORE in January 2016 after serving as a media and marketing intern. As CORE Program
Director, Emily handles family relations and communication throughout the CORE grant process and is
responsible for marketing, public relations, and social media. Emily loves connecting with new families
personally when she welcomes them to the CORE Family. Prior to CORE, Emily served as an Associate
Director of Development at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and worked for several years in public,
private, and college libraries. Civic engagement through volunteering has always been a passion for Emily.
She has volunteered with several organizations over the years, including East Nashville Hope Exchange,
where she served as Communications Chair. Emily received her Master of Education in Organizational
Leadership and Communication from Belmont University and her Bachelor in English and Children’s
Literature from Castleton University.
